The Fate of Smush Parker

A street baller by heart, Smush Parker has had a difficult time adjusting to the NBA game playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns and now with the Lakers. With obvious skills and talent, Smush can play ball, but for some reason he is not all that good in the NBA.

Smush made a name for himself playing at "The Cage" in Manhattan, getting the nicknames "The Aviator", "NBA Live", showing off his ball handling skills and high fly act. The problem is he just can't play consistently well and he has probably played his last game as a Laker.

Rumor has that Smush Parker will find his new home just across the hall in the Staples Center with the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are in need of a point guard next year with Shaun Livingston going down with the horrifying injury this season and having no set time of return if he even does come back(worse injury I have ever seen, don't even want to think about it, ouch). Smush will probably play behind Jason Hart who made a good impression with Mike Dunleavy filling in for Livingston.

please...anywhere but LA - we've had enough of his garbage on the court and cancerous attitude...

I saw Smush play at the cage, used to film games there, and he was good because he was a forward. He dominated people with athleticism and size at the cage....but in th eNBA he's small and weak minded.

I'm surprised NBA teams keep insisting that Smush is a point guard and the comment above pointing out that he naturally plays the 3 makes a lot of sense. Just because someone has handles and is quick does not mean they have the point guard instinct... Smush is def a talent though and I think he just has to find his proper place in the NBA to be a very productive player.
