Even International Fans Showin' the Love as the Lakers Destroy the Supersonics

Bring on the REAL challenge!!

Over the past couple of seasons the Lakers have struggled against even the worst teams like the Seattle Supersonics, but not any more as the Kobe and Pau show continue to destroy any team in their path.

It was almost as if the Lakers weren't trying because the Supersonics looked like a high school going up against Kobe and company Sunday night in Seattle. Kevin Durant wasn't even a factor in this one (shot a horrible 4 for 13) as the Lakers defense kept him and the rest of the Sonics in check all night long.

Seven of the ten Lakers that took the floor against the Sonics scored in double figures Sunday showing that the Lakers still have the deepest bench in the league. Once again Jordan Farmar and Sasha "the Machine" Vujacic had great nights coming off the bench as the two combined for 25 points and 5 for 11 from behind the arc, giving Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher much needed and deserved rest.

Lead by both Farmar and Vujacic, the Lakers bench seems very confident and comfortable when they hit the floor, Ronny Turiaf looks better than ever and title hopes seem to increase with every passing game.

Lamar Odom put up some pretty nice (consistent) numbers again, getting yet another double-double as the third option behind Kobe and Pau with 19 points and 11 rebounds on an impressive 8 of 12 shooting. Kobe only played 23 minutes in this one, but that is all he needed to dish out 10 assists and score 21 points, Pau also put in his two cents by scoring 22 and grabbing 7 to lead the Lakers another blowout victory 111-91 over the struggling Seattle Supersonics.

NEXT LAKERS GAME: Portland Trailblazers at Los Angeles Lakers Tues, Feb. 26th 7:30pm PST
