Lakers One Game Away from the #1 Seed in the Western Confernce Playoffs

As we come down to the wire in the Western Conference playoff race the Lakers are just dominating some of the best teams in the West including the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Hornets who are ironically the two teams they have been battling for the top seed.

After Sunday's very convincing victory over the Spurs and the Lakers domination over the Hornets a couple days before Kobe and company are looking like the best in the west and ready to snatch the #1 seed from the Hornets to make their run at another NBA title.

If the Lakers manage to beat the Sacramento Kings at the Staples Center on Tuesday the #1 seed is in the bag. If that happens, the Lakers will most likely face the Denver Nuggets in the first round, that is if AI and Carmelo Anthony can hold off the Golden State Warriors from swooping in and grabbing the 8th spot.

As of right now the Lakers look down right scary, but with the possibility of Andrew Bynum coming back for the first round, I feel bad for the Nuggets and any other team the Lakers face in the later rounds. for that matter because with Pau, Kobe, LO and Bynum in the lineup I don't see anyone stopping the boys in purple and gold.
