Andrew Bynum Will Officially Done for the Year After Season Ending Surgery

Well, we all knew this was coming Lakers fans, for some reason Andrew Bynum just seemed destined not to return this season and with news of the big kid scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery Wednesday on his injured left knee it is finally official that he won't play another minute for the Lakers this season regardless of whether or not the Lakers get to the NBA finals.

It is a damn shame, but honestly, the way the Lakers are playing right now, they really don't need him. I never thought I would say that this year after seeing how he had made a huge improvement in his all around game from last season, but with the addition of Pau Gasol and the Lakers in general playing great team basketball lead by this year's MVP Kobe Bryant, I really don't see anyone stopping them.

Although it would have been awesome to see Andrew Bynum playing alongside Pau, Kobe, LO and Fisher, getting surgery now was the best decision Andrew Bynum and Lakers could have made.
